Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Change 'User Type' and 'Access' at a time for multiple ACL entries

You can add multiple ACL entries for multiple databases at a time from the Domino Administrator panel, though, you cannot change the access level and User type for multiple entries at a time.

  1. Click Files, and select multiple databases from the Domino data directory.

  2. Click Tools > Database > Manage ACL.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Select multiple users from the Domino Directory by clicking the button next to the list box.

  5. Click Add > OK.

  6. You'll see the user entries added as 'User type: Unspecified', and 'Access: No access'.

  7. Now you try to change the 'User Type' and 'Access' at a time for all the user entries newly added. However, you cannot select multiple user entries in Manage Multiple ACLs dialogue windows.

I request new feature to change 'User Type' and 'Access' at a time for multiple ACL entries in multiple databases.

You may want to specifically assign Access levels to individuals who may be members of a group.

Would it help if we provide you with a method to standardize the database ACL's automatically? e.g. you define that all databases in a certain directory must have an ACL entry of ... and it will be applied automatically without the admin client?
