AdminCentral - shortnames and email addresses without space characters

When you create an account using AdminCentral for a user with a multiple word surname (such as "van Dijk" - AdminCentral defaults to include space characters in the shortname and email address fields.

For example:

First Name: Test
Surname: van User
Shortname provided by AdminCentral: tvan use
Email address provided by AdminCentral: test.van user@domain.com

You can understand what's happened here - the logic being firstname.surname@domain - but there are nuances which the application should support.

We don't use Shortnames but your organisation might, but we should all care about the email address, right?

BTW - if you create the above user using the Admin client, you'll get the following:

Shortname: AdminCentral: Tvan User
Email address provided by AdminCentral: test.vanuser@domain.com

Proposal: Improve support for multi-worded surnames in AdminCentral, similar to that of the admin client.

PS: I'd still like to see an AdminCentral category on this site :).
