This actually works. But doesn't work in embedded views from remote DBs unless you add an undocumented notes.ini setting:

OnSelect actually works in an Embedded View. But not an Embedded View in a dialog box, where it (and other events)would be most useful.
We need some method of getting a handle on selected documents in an embedded view.
+1. FWIW, this idea really refers to class NotesUIView. I'd extend it by asking for all events, properties and methods of class NotesUIView to work the same in an embedded view as in a regular view.
