Allow embedded views from other databases based on a formula

Now when I want to embed a view from another 2nd database I have to select the application (2nd database) and the view I want to add. However, when working with templates the template and production db will then both refer to the same 2nd database where the template needs to refer to the 2nd template database and the production db needs to refer to the 2nd production database to embed the view. I have to use annoying workarounds to be able to work with templates in this scenario.
