These days we were forced to check out the options possible because our customers app ran into a stack overflow because of the recursivity of the quick sort algorythm we use.
Sure there are other algorythms without recursivity like "shell sort", we tried out but they all were poor performance.
Ironically we ended up with doin it via LS2J with a Java build in sort due to the fact it was way faster than anything else despite the overhead of passing the data to Java and back.
But to be honest - it´s embarrassing to use something like quick sort which turns out to be 1,6 seconds for a test array while the Java took 0,2 seconds for the same.
The Java guys from our company laugh at us dealing with such stupid things!
There definitely should be an built in option for Lotus Script!
