Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. @IsDocBeingEdited shows what mode the document is currently in (Read/Edit mode). This is not that.
@UserCanEdit is proposed to verify user rights to edit a document.
I would suggest still @UserCanRead.
I would use both functions to build reports for users on the server side. And therefore, both need the optional UserName parameter.
Good idea, maybe better in this why @UserCanNotEdit if used in hide formulas as this will be the more frequent case from my point of view.
The above formula should replace following code used in a hide formula to check if someone can not edit a document:
sAccess := @ToNumber(@Subset(@UserAccess(@DbName); 1));
sAccess < 3 |
(sAccess = 3 & @IsNotMember (@Author; @UserNamesList))
Will this work ? @IsDocBeingEdited
