scheduled or triggered replication for Nomad mobile Merged

For technicians in the field Nomad has some great potential but the usability is limited because replication is awkward to use. This leads to stale records and replication conflicts.

It would be great if there was an option for a triggered replication when the app was opened and/or on a scheduled basis ( even if only when open )

This would make a significant difference to the usability

In a post from 2021 the following was said "Scheduled Replication is a prioritized feature. We are unable to provide time estimates at this time."

    Scheduled replication is there.

Initially we provided a button in the application so users could kick off replication manually.

Once scheduled replication appeared, we then enabled that (through MarvelClient).

The one issue we hit was related to the "tick box" that you see on a normal replication page which is location document specific (the tick box was not visible on the replication page in Nomad). We found that if you create the local replica when "Scheduled replication is disabled in the location document", that tick box on the replication page would is not ticked (we found this out by looking at the data files in MarvelClient Analyze). So even after enabling scheduled replication, the databases were not replicating.

We ended up having to pull new replicas onto each Nomad device after Scheduled Replication had been enabled.

    Hope this helps.
