Display Password value option

I posted this in the Nomad forum and was advised to create an Idea here...

When entering my Nomad login password, I would like to be able to see what I have entered in order to confirm that I have entered it correctly. Many sites have an icon that allows the user to toggle the password visibility on and off, or leave it on permanently

I understand your position, Tim. Security is one of the hallmarks of Notes. And, after googling this topic, I can see that it is hotly debated subject... a function of security versus ease of use. I occassionaly mistype my password (which is strong for the obvious reason) on my online banking site and have to correct it. Thankfully, my Bank (the 26th largest bank in the world!) has an icon, which allows me to toggle the display of my password on and off.. see attachment.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse. but is there a possibility that this function could be made an option in the Designer or Admin Client, so Users could make their own decision on implementation?.

    Thx for your consideration

    Paul

We will never allow people to see the Notes ID password in clear text.

Great idea. Yes, that is a useful and easy to implement function.
