Customer wants to copy all data from old mail database to new mail database

A customer had a requirement where he wanted all data like mail documents, calendar entries, signatures etc to be copied from old mail file to new mail file.
He was having many issues in older mail file and therefore he wanted to create a new mail file and copy all data.

    Any clues on what the issues are?  Would replacing the design of the mail file help solve the issues?

    This is such a special request... If needed this can be easily done with an agent with less than 100 lines of code... why should this be implemented in the product?
