An archival policy for server side archiving and customize local archive criteria can be simultaneously implement

We would like to run an archiving policy to delete messages from a users' mailfile. However, we would also like to give the users the ability to archive message (if they wish) to a local archive before the purge policy runs on the server.  Users should still be able to control their local archive setting even though they have an archive policy assigned. 

 

According to SPR # CJMS6XTPP6

There can only be 1 destination server (or local) per user. So if the policy specifies a server, user's will then have to archive to that server as well. The customize criteria for the specific users locks and supersedes. To change this, there would need to be extensize UI and archive engine changes.
