Offline model implementation for node.js application

As we know that lotus notes provides a strong foundation with replication of mail databases and applications.
 
We have a requirement to have the offline feature to connect to notes apps. Is it possible that the app dev pack can be configured for client and app can connect to local replica databases in notes client to provide offline feature implementation.

    I think this is why Darwino was created, a Libray that can be used to build applications with local data store and specifically knows how to replicate with a domino server..
