Free unused domain index space while update domain index without re-creating domain index

One of our customer uses Domain index for domain search of many databases on Domino 9.0.1 FP10 server. Now their domain index size has become 240 GB.

Although this customer to domain index update by program document at round 0:00 every day, the size of their domain index keep on becoming large and large.

According to former SPR #WBLD5E4FR3, #WBLD5E4FR3, the only way to decrease domain index size is to re-create domain index by the following steps

  1. delete current domain index by "load domidx -d"

  2. restart Domino server

  3. create new domain index by "load domidx -s"

The customer to provide some way to update domain index by free unused domain index space but without re-creating Domain index.
