Delegate access to mail-in database using iNotes

Currently for a mail-in database it is not possible to delegate access to it using just iNotes. One has to use Notes client or ask administrator to do the work - self service however is not possible.

The respective functionality works for user mail files it just doesn't work for mail-in databases.

Scenario:

User who has manager access in ACL of mail-in database wants to delegate access to this mail-in to new users. Manager does this in iNotes preferences and at the end a respective request is placed automatically in admin4.nsf (request type is: Delegate Web Mail File). However administration process marks this request as error because the requester (the manager) is not the owner of the mail file. The exact error is: 'The signer of this request must be the mail file's owner'.

By definition the signer/user cannot be the owner in this case because it is mail-in name who is the 'owner'). Therefore it is not possible for someone who is manger of mail-in database to delegate access to it using just iNotes.

We would like to have such option working.

The focus for webmail is Verse, so this problem is unlikely to be addressed in iNotes.
