HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Recovery Manager truncates directory components in long file paths in log messages

Recovery Manager truncates part of the data directory path in log messages when the total filesystem path has more than 5 nodes past the root. Looking in logs, I see this both with "Assigning new DBIID for..." messages and "Recovery being performed for DB..." messages.

* /var/lib/domino/data/foo.nsf -> (remains the same)

* /var/lib/domino/data/foo/bar.nsf became /lib/domino/data/foo/bar.nsf

* /var/lib/domino/data/foo/bar/baz.nsf became /domino/data/foo/bar/baz.nsf

* /local/notesdata/dev/tn/prud/pui.nsf became /notesdata/dev/tn/prud/pui.nsf

Happens on Linux platform

Hope in the Domino future release it can include all the path from the root to the folder.

    Can you please open a support ticket for this issue to confirm this behaviour? This seems to be a bug that should be reported as a ticket and not as an AHA idea.
