decoding the POST data obtained with a CGI variable

When you post UTF-8 encoded data to Domino HTTP, if you get it using the Request_Content variable and save it, garbled characters will occur.

For example,to avoid this, you have to convert it to a file using NotesStream.

Set stream = session.createStream

Call stream.open("C:\\Temp\\test.txt", "LMBCS")

Call stream.writeText(doc.getItemValue("REQUEST_CONTENT")(0))

Call stream.close

Call stream.open("C:\\Temp\\test.txt", "UTF-8")

Content = stream.readText

doc1.Body = Content

Call doc1.save(True, True)

Call stream.Truncate

Call stream.close

I want a way to get REQUEST_CONTENT with the character code specified by content-type.

    Besides a field REQUEST_CONTENT_DECODED like we have it for QUERY_STRING, it would make sense to completely overhaul this functionality. Every URL-Parameter should become a field in the CGI Document as well as posted files should become accessible as an embedded object.
