DDM log filtering is useful in reducing the amount that is written to DDM but not to log.nsf.
I looked at DDM Filters and the very first line of the DDM Filter screen says this:
"The Domino Domain Monitor (DDM) filter determines what kind of and how much event information is reported to the Domino Domain Monitor database."
It does not say what is collected by log.nsf in the Mail Routing document. Now if I am interpreting this wrong and there is a way through DDM filters to control what goes into the Log.nsf mail routing document, I would be interested in learning about it.
You can remove unwanted log messages by setting up a DDM Log filter
This is needed. Servers can experience a performance hit from an excessive number of entries in log.nsf.
