Ability to change MAIL FROM when using forwarding address of user document

We need the ability to change the MAIL FROM when forwarding in user documents.

If the original user name is used, the SPF check will result in an error.

You can find this feature in the server configuration document or in Notes.ini (RouterUserRuleForwardReversePath) for the "Send a Copy" rule.

This same feature is also needed for forwarding user documents.

    The following mechanisms should also apply to FORWARDED emails:


    1. sending an e-mail.

    This field may look like the following: From: "Name Last Name, Company" <number@company.com>

    The way of how the name is altered when sent should be controlled via a NOTES.INI key or setting.


    2. showing a sent mail (Notes/Verse)

    The recipient email address should be recognized,

    Usually because this address already exists: In the person document in the Notes address book, as an alias or forwarding address in the personal address book, in an external address book, Active Directory, etc. of the sender.



    Displaying readable names should not be a challenge for HCL development.

    Intentionally the sender name is not altered when forwarding address is set in the person document. If you want to turn this into a new mail instead ether write an agent ornuse a mail rule instead to send a full copy.
