Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

In short, the bare line feed is a single line feed character (LF or ASCII 10) that isn't immediately preceded by the carriage return character (CR or ASCII 13). The line separator in an email message is supposed to be CRLF, not LF.
Here is a quite good description:

We would also happy if Domino supported this feature. But so far we have to work around the lack of BDAT support in Domino by using external additional tools (like the IIS SMTP server), which complicate the configuration and support of mail routing.
Can you please explain what Bare line feeds are and what the business need for this would be?
