Provide function to synchronize Notes ID password and Internet Password for users who does not use Notes Mail (No Notes mail database)

For the function to synchronize Notes ID password and Internet Password, end user should use Notes mail as his mail system ( also having Notes Mail database on his Domino mail home server).


One of our our customer does not let some end users in their company to use Notes mail system (also no Notes Mail database). For these users, they could not synchronizing Notes ID password and Internet Password automatically via Domino Adminp Process.


Wish in future release, Domino could provide some mechanism to automatically synchronize Notes ID password and Internet Password, end user should use Notes mail as his mail system ( also having Notes Mail database on his Domino mail home server).

    No plans to provide the functionality in the way you are requesting it.

    We would like to eliminate the HTTP password completely.

    However, what you want to do is to configure Domino to authenticate HTTP sessions against the IDVault. This will require all users to have a NotesID in the vault, but it does not require the user to have a mail file and also does not require the user to have a Notes client. See Server Configuration Document / Security :
