Similiar function is used after installing plugin in Notes client.
There is a setting to activate slide in summary when new mail arrives. This technique would be great to have customizable to be able to notify of other things than new mail arriving. We would like to notify of events in our system that requires the users attention. Today we use the broadcast command on the server to notify users but the sliden in summary would be a lot better since it can include links to documents. Our clients do not use Notes mail so sending an email to the user will not solve the problem.

We would like to be able to use a similar "slide-in" summary in Notes application we develop. This way we would like to notify users about things that might require their attention.
