Enable Server Only archiving, allow users to view their archive settings but do not allow modifications to those settings.

We have created a server only archiving policy. We do archiving from server to domino server. But despite the poilicy, user is able to modify the archive settings and create new archive files or clobber exising files.

So this should be prevented. Only server based archiving is chosen, the user should only able view settings, view archive files, but should not be allowed to make any changes to criteria etc.

      Hi All,

I already have server based archiving policy. If I choose "prohibit private archiving criteria", it clears out all the archiving criteria and all the archive items under Inbox. I want people to not change the settings, but they should be able to view the settings and also open their archive files. I created a ticket, but they said I need to create a enhanement request.

(BTW. the archive feature itself needs to be revamped. There is some confusion in "Enable a criteria" and viewing the archive file for a criteria etc)

Create an Archive and archive settings Policy and enforce it. Compact -a will do the job serverside. Clients can not modify the configuration anymore.
