Domino 12.0.2 introduced a new health check for URLs. which CertMgr remotely queries. And in case any certificate warning or error occurs an e-mail is send every 24 hours. The new feature also generates statistics and you can leverage statistic monitors if this is your preference instead of an e-mail (or you can use both).
