Currently when User A has given a delegate access in User B's mail file, so whenever User A will try to access the User B's mail file, the system does not ask for any password. This is because the User A is already authenticated with Server with his own credentials.
However there has been a security request to ask for the password when User A tries to access the User B's mail file. This password could be a different password that User A's internet password or can be same as selected by User B.
So while giving delegation access to User A, User B will select if User A needs to enter the specific password (set by User B) or if User A needs to enter the internet password.
So in the Access & Delegation tab, there should be following new options added-
Requires delegate user to enter the password while access mail file > Yes/No
If "Yes" is selected in above option, then following 2 options should come with radio button to select either of them-
Use this specific password: [To be set by User B]
OR
Ask for the delegated user's internet password
So this will allow more confidence to high profile users about their mail file is securely accessed by someone.
This Enhancement Request is submitted for Domino 12.0.2 version for Notes Client, Verse and iNotes clients.
