Does HCL/Domino expect here the Domino user hierarchical structure to be the same as in Active Directory?
We have here a customer having a flat Domino structure (only /example/org). In Active Directory they have organizational units, etc.
Now when syncing security groups, the entries in Domino group is as mentioned above, which is useless. Domino/DirSync should read the AD user entry and add the correct Domino user to the group by comparing the ObjectGUID.
Yes Thomas, but only IF user exists in Domino directory. IF not that group sync is useless...
This already works today.
If the Domino user exists in the Domino Directory as a Notes user (=with a certified name) the name mapping will be done automatically.
the fullname field in the person document must be a hierachical name for this to work.
We have a customer who only wants Groups synced, not Person Documents, and used Security Groups.
Same problem, all the populated Groups have AD Names, not Domino Names, rendering DirSync useless.
