ClamAV support for Domino CScan

Domino CScan supporting ICAP as a standard is a great addition to Domino 12.

It turns out that most customers don't use an anti virus solution supporting ICAP. Switching to a different anti virus product isn't an option for most customer.

Adding another virus scanner, would basically double the costs. Virus scanners are usually licenses by user and not by product using it.

ClamAV (https://www.clamav.net/) is the free and open source virus scanner, which also allows to add 3rd party pattern. It is also used by Sametime as their primary anti virus solution.


Having support for the ClamAV protocol would help many customers to deploy a Domino aware anti virus solution without extra costs as secondary line of defense (beside gateway scanners or local desktop scanners).

This would not only help smaller customers, but would be also an additional option for all customers and partners.
