Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Domino causing SAML login loops

When using SAML SSO, under circumstances where the SSO is successful but there is an issue with the browser cookies used for session management, the domino server re-initiates the SAML transaction as a response. This results in an endless loop where the users browser swaps between the IDP and Domino until they close their browser. This can result in 100s of thousands of hits to both Domino and the IDP. In the situation where SSO was successful and the IDP returned a valid identify, the Domino server should not re-initiate the SAML process in response to a cookie issue. For reference, we opened the following tickets regarding this issue: FEDCS0002918 and FEDCS0002340
