Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Note: In order to migrate all attachments you must add a notes.ini entry on the client. We use a desktop policy to do this automatically, but it certainly would be (captain obvious) nice if the notes.ini entry was added automatically if one chose to install the migration tool. Search for ExchMig_ConAllAtt=1 and Enforce it via the policy. What is not clear, however, is if the tool will continue to work with newer MS formats or not. There is also no thorough guide on using the tools, and frankly it would be nicer if this could be done an easier way.
Here at BCC we are currently updating our Mail Migration Engine to have Domino as a TARGET system. This will be publicised well and will be the only tool in the market of migrating back to Domino form MSX and Office 365.
I have found that the standard Notes PST migration tool does NOT import file attachments properly - if at all, in most cases. The only way I have found that produces reliable results is to use the Transcend Migrator tool. Not only does this migrate ALL content for the PST mailbox file, it also can be used to update previously imported Outlook mail items (or skip them is needed) and will also import the missing file attachments. But there is a substantial cost if you are doing many migrations.
There is an option when installing Notes Client to also instal the migration tools. In the past we have tested this tools with PST and it can migrate most emails (and probably contact too). For Connection Cloud (Verse) there is an option to use Transcend for paid services and MOM for free self service migration.
