Automated command line download / API Download for My HCL Software portal

The My HCL HCL software portal allows to past download links into a curl command-line or download on another machine. But the download link cannot be generated programmatically.

The HCL Domino Container project and customer specific build flows would benefit from having a way to automatically download similar to how Domino V14 Auto Update can automatically download from My HCL software.


Having a programmatic download option without a by hand generated temporary download link in a software portal would be very helpful in customer build pipelines and download automation.

The feature request here is mainly to document the download API to enable customers and partners to integrate.

    The script is also integrated into the Domino container project and supports automatic download when installed.
    I added a specifc option to let the script search for the required file.

    HCL has published a pre-release version of the new My HCL Software download API in the EAP forum.
    I wrote a full featured Bash script. It is available as part of my start script in open source and works on Linux, MacOS and on GitBash on Windows.
