Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Integrated methods to re-write the @DOMAIN part

We have merged two Domino domains from DomainB to DomainA. We have also setup Directory Assistance and added an "Internet-Addresses" from DomainB to DomainA - to make sure e-mails are received within DomainA.

Person Document in the secondary addressbook looks like – we left the old / former domain “DomainB” on purpose.

As some users using Notes-Style addressing, mails transfer getting failed and sender receiving delivery failure with an information "Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded. Message probably in a forwarding loop. Examine Forwarding Address of intended recipient in Domino Directory."

Goal is to also have the servers & domain DOMAIN A to accept & process mails to the Domino-Domain locally and perform lookups across the addressbooks (in DA).

We can use third-party tools to re-write the @DOMAIN part.

It would be nice if HCL picks this up as an IDEA / enhancement request.

Domain-Migrations are a quite common task and it would be helpful if this could be done with integrated methods instead of having to use third-party tools.
