Show the current version for the Autoupdate information

In V14 with the AutoUpdate option turned on to notify and download, or to install, we see what is new which is great.

It would be helpful to have a column that shows what version is currently installed, so the would be an easy to show management view of what needs to get updated.


Asking management is different than when the server is asking for the update. The server would get the manager to say yes, where the admin doesn't always put their case in a good way to get it done.

Yes, they could set it to download and install but the change management processes, get in the way.

    can you please clarify where the information should be shown?

    The AutoNotify functionality in Domino directory shows the general available information.

    The autoupdate.nsf database has a "server document" with the current information about the server in detail.

    where would you like to see the information?
    Should this indicate in the server document in autoupdate.nsf that a newer version is available?

    I think what we have today should be already what we need.

    The visibile information for everyone is the Domino directory Product Info.
    IMHO the autoupdate.nsf part is really for admins, which plan their updates according to the information available in autoupdate.nsf.

    There is a latest view showing the latest versions. And the server documents in autoupdate.nsf contain the details.

    Currenlty the plan is to let the admin choose which version to install.

    If you want a more automatic way -- like update all your servers automatically, please create a separate AHA idea to let others vote for this idea.

    For the information part please state explicitly what you would like to see.
