Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Thanks Thomas for the detailed explanation.
We are encouraging customers to move away from storing HTTPpasswords in the person document. So please consider:
changing your server configuration so that HTTP authentication is done against the IDVault - see Configuration Document / Security:
NotesSharedLogin does not Sync any passwords on purpose. This technology will establish a trust between the current operating system and the (local) NotesID. This is by far more secure than sync'ing passwords.
Configure your HTTP server for Authenticating against a (remote) LDAP or SAML IdP.
Enable PassKey support for Domino - with passkeys enabled you do NOT need any HTTP password : https://help.hcltechsw.com/domino/14.0.0/admin/conf_dominopasskeyauth.html
If not using Passkeys, at least enable TOTP support. https://help.hcltechsw.com/domino/14.0.0/admin/conf_totp_overview.html
