The design contains waste design elements, which will never be used in a mail journal database. One example are design elements for calendaring. Here we have been facing an issue that a calendar profile was automatically created for a specific user. This profile disabled/prevented archiving for the mail journal db, because the archive settings have been locked.
Furthermore, the mail journal database can be very large, even with regular archiving. Our current one contains nearly 250.000 documents. I believe that removing any waste design/view will enhance performance an reliability for this important application.
