HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Whitelist notes:// links from mails in O365.

Links to Domino records in HCL Notes are now being stripped from emails in office 365.

Previously in emails there would be a <a href="notes://server/app/0/record"> tag. This is no longer there and just an image of a Notes link icon is being shown.

Please complain with Microsoft. There is nothing we can do here.
Microsoft is using its power to discourage our product.

Customer has received the following response from Microsoft regarding this issue:

The product engineers already told us that due to security concerns, Outlook is moving away from supporting custom schemas by design, out of security concerns.

Schema specific links will open a native app immediately, which may pose security risk. The Outlook team is cautious with running unfamiliar code just by accidental click in the email.

If your company still wants to enable this custom schema URL, we can check with the engineering team if this can be whitelisted for this tenant. However, please be noted this is just on best-effort basis there may be very little thing which can be done from backend as well. Unfortunately, no options available from front-end as of now to enable this.
