A new (improved) DAOS estimator is in the works, stay tuned until v14.5 early access 1
Why not include it in the product?
It is planned to include it in the product, however this can only be done in future versions of Domino. We also need to consider customers who have not upgraded to this new version yet but still want to know what savings they can get by enabling DAOS, so we also have to ship it standalone.
