server configuration documents - make a function like policy synopsis for users

In Domino you have the option to create Server-Configuration Documents.

one default * for all Server plus Configurations for single server and/or Groups of Servers sharing the same functions f.e. Mail-Servers.

Unfortunately it is not clear how these configurations apply to certain servers.

My understanding is, configurations will be applyed beginning with Default (*) for all Servers, followed by configuration related to server Groups and finaly finished with explicit configuration for a single server.

In case I'm wrong please clarify the documentation on how server-configuration will be applied.

In case I'm right, wouldn't it make sense to have a "synopsis" tool like "Policy-Synopsis" for users available?

Here we could check wich current server configuration will be appliede from which server-configuration document.
