I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit this, but I have an old application that uses a bit of Win32 code to do things like running other apps in a shell and getting the output via named pipes. Code from kernel32.dll and a couple of others. It's pretty deeply embedded in a big application, so re-writing it would be a pain.
Dear, we have only one server having traveler and sametime.. so we shall keep 9.0.1 32 bit ..
No upgrades.. Ideally IBM would have released sametime new version too along with the domino 10 . other wise the y would have released domino 10 32 bit too...
only your Sametime community server needs to run 9.0.1/32bit, other servers of the same Domain can run on V10
IBM Domino Server V9.0.1 32 Bit for Windows English (CIQ7VEN)
great.. that means we need 9.0.1 32 bit.. we cant upgrade to 10.
Until that point, Sametime can be installed on Domino 9.0.1
Until upto that time ibm should give 32 bit version..
Sametime will go 64bit this summer.
ibm sametime is installed on this server. it required 32 bit version.
why cant IBM support 32 bit too.?
Why would you want to send an email using winsock.dll ? Domino provides email routing capabilities natively.
The discussion in this post provides one scenario where W32 Domino 10 would be useful - they wish to continue running legacy agents that call 32-bit Windows dlls. https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/479134/is-there-a-windows-server-32-bit-version-of-domino/
Where exactly would you still need a 32 bit Domino Server? Can you provide an example?
What prevents you from upgrading your OS?
