Yes I do have ID vault, however rename process in admin4.nsf require notes client to contact server then only it completes remaining rename process and then only local id file gets renamed and then updated in id vault.
Do you have ID Vault configured in your Domino environment? If so, the only ID you may have to deal with manually is the cert.id for obvious reasons.
