Could Lotus Domino limit a specific group users to use POP3 and webmail services?

Customer wish to provide HTTP (webmail/iNotes) and POP3 access to specific list of users & other should be restrict to access this services. Just like we have an option for the Traveler.

We have an existing SPRs in the SPR database as,

Enhancement Request: Restrict HTTP / iNotes connections by user, group, ip, time and other criteria

Enhancement Request: Only allow certain users to connect via POP3

@Guest: Yes, there are scenarios where users are using Notes client, but should notbe able use web, pop or auth.smtp. i.e if we would like to regultate external web-access. Clearing inetpwd is a workaround, but might impact internal linked apps like Connections for example.

I think it would be nice to get an additional option on site-documents to allow/deny users/groups. This way one can regulate access more precisely.

Out of curiosity, for those who cannot access webmail / POP3 are they allowed to access via Notes Client ? Any particular reason why you need to restrict them ? AFAIK, Notes CAL does not make any restriction about the method of access.

Have you tried to erase the Internet Password for those who are not allowed to use webmail ?
