Option in Data Grid to include/exclude final/end stages

In workflow applications, the scope usually lies on requests which need to be processed.
If a request is finalized/closed, it should still be viewable/accessable, but it is not in the main focus any more.

So, I would like to have a switch/option in the data grid element to include/exclude requests/forms which have reached a final/end stage (these already are distinctively shown in the "Workflow" view, so I assume there likely already is some flag). This is extremely helpful when I have multiple end stages due to different workflow outcomes.

Currently, I have to create a filter and exclude each of these stages, which is quite inconvenient when I also want to filter the grid for user-selected inputs.
