I'm only playing around with ICAA, so I'm not sure whether what I am looking for is there or not. I see there is bookmark bar on the left of my ICAA client. I would like to be able to add a bookmark there for mail. I would like to be able to bookmark mail, whether my mail is on our Domino server, whether we are using IBM Verse on Premises, or whether we are using IBM Verse in the cloud.
The kicker is that I would like to be able open that bookmark without having to enter a second set of credentials.
@thomas there is no Notes Basic client for macOS for example!
I would like to use a lightweight, easy to install and update Notes Basic client like ICAA or IBM Domino Mobile Apps a.k.a Nomad for iPad is, BUT I would like to open my own mail database within this client.
Add a notes.ini on macOS / Windows or iOS AppConfig setting the enable or disable personal mail access and all would be happy.
When showing Mail in ICAA, what would be the difference to the Notes Basic client then?
ICAA is for apps. Mail is not available in Domino utility server which is sufficient to host apps to use with ICAA. For Mail + Apps, would need the Notes client. For more on the licensing, https://www.ibm.com/collaboration/ibm-domino/domino-pvu-licensing
I would like to see a mixed flow of events from apps and mail, rendered nicely as the nomad activity stream with Verse-like faceted filters...
Yes please! I would also like to be able to use mail in Nomad!
Even we are just having the basic client functionality, customers should be able to make their free choice how to use the applications and this includes mail!
Why not use the Notes Basic client then, that already supports mail, calendar and contacts?
I agree , nice idea
