In our laboratories we have some analysis machines whose invoicing is done by slice of two or three hours. There is a minimal amount of time needed to prep the analysis machine and to clean it. So this is nonsense to book the resource for 15 minutes. Only one or two analysis can be done before noon. It then makes sense to allow only one or 2 fixed timeslots for this kind of resources per half-day
Of course, we have written procedures to use these analysis machines but it would be a big plus to have the software enforcing the rules.
Can you explain why this would be of interest? If someone would like to block a room for longer than the actual meeting was scheduled, it is possible to just add another meeting from 9 to 10 to block the remaining slot.
