Fully agree. at the moment PGP is a pain in the ass with Notes. :-( Wish to have some progress here.
With the coming of the 64-bit client in 12.0.2, this becomes more important because the client-side Symantec Desktop Email Encryption does not function anymore with the switch to 64-bit.
Thanks,
Ben Erickson
Notes is well known for its high standard in security, PGP is a standard de facto.
Having the possibilty to use PGP in receivind and sending would be great.
I know users & companies using PGP, which is a very great solution for email as it has a strong encryption. There are solutions for Domino servers, e.g. from GBS, but there is no client version.
Dobysoft's product worked very well and was nicly integrated into the client, at least for Windows as it used GPG4Win. - Sadly it is no longer supported.
I'd appreciate, if PGP could be included in the Notes mailbox.
@Thomas Hampel do you have another Software vendor tip for PGP encryption in Notes?
@Thomas Hampel: Dobysoft have decided to deprecate PGPNotes with effect from 28 Aug 2019. https://www.dobysoft.com/products/pgpnotes/download.html Do you have another Software vendor tip?
Thanks Thomas Hampel, your link describes it in IBM Notes client only. As I wrote in a comment make it available in all clients - start with IBM Verse Cloud in the browser.
Integrating PGP, like done here : https://www.dobysoft.com/products/pgpnotes/index.html ?
Make this feature available all clients (Notes Client, IBM Verse Cloud, IBM VoP, mobile) so that users have the same UX. Start with the easiest client but do not forget the others.
Make it easy for end users to integrate PGP keys of known persons or use a public PGP store to get the key for defined email addresses
