make iNotes "set as default mail client" functionality independent from IE

currently the option to set iNotes as the default mail client is based on Windows simple-mapi using activeX.  As activeX is only available in IE and even Microsoft is replacing IE with Edge which won't include activeX anymore, the "set as default mail client" feature in iNotes should be implemented differently.

Other products exist already which are activeX independent and provide this type of functionality for google mail linking it to Chrome.

    I would really like to see this functionality implemented, as it already exists for some other web mail clients (google, etc). It comes extremely handy for environments, where no fat clients are used.
