HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Capture deletion log at Notes Client end.

Right now the only official way to enable deletion logging is to use the compact servertask with the -dl option.

After you enabled the deletion logging, each kind of delete is recorded in a central text file on the server.

Unintended deletion of mail is an abnormal operation of Notes Client.

Currently there is no way to track unintended deletion of mail at Notes Client side.

Request to arrange this featur for the future release which will provide information regarding normally and abnormally deletion of the document at Notes Client end.

For the client side it is obvious that it was the user itself deleting the document. This deletion will replicate to the server where the deletion log should capture + log those updates.
