Automatically encrypt attachment file when send a mail to internet user.

Some customers are looking for a solution to automatically encrypt attachments when sending email.

This solution exists for third-party products, but we want to add it as a Notes feature.

What would you encrypt the attachment with ?
Encryption on the internet is either using S/MIME or PGP, both are public/private key systems that require to know the public key of the recipient. In Notes/Domino you can use S/MIME to encrypt mails incl. attachment before it is being sent. You just have to obtain an X509 certificate for yourself and have to know the public key of the recipient.
