'Stale' cacheing of Workspace App Icons when sending user link to new server location.

If a user has a workspace icon on his/her workspace and the db is relocated, there are times where a 'hint' link will not work (server crash and will not be brought up, etc.). If we send the user an Application Link to the new location AND the user has a link on their workspace to the old replica target server, they cannot open the new link - it keeps trying to open the old location (dead server) and says Server Not Responding. Can the App links themselves include a server specific target to prevent this, thus permitting this, AND can the user be prompted with something like "You have an old link to this application - would you like to clean it up now".
