Allow display of rich text items in view

There is an old restriction that summary items cannot be included in views. I don't need to include them in the index to sort the view by them, but I need to display them. It is already possible to display gif images in the view. They are not part of the index and only as many rows of views are displayed. Similarly, the rich text of the item could be displayed in the views. It could be used, for example, to:

  • Hierarchical display of formatted discussion text, instead of subjects.

  • View contacts, including photos.

  • Attach files

    I upvoted this idea; especially for the contact pictures (avatar) example.

    Although this idea has to be used with caution. Richtext fields can be really heavy and are hard to format in a column.
