Determine exact Notes-Client build via OS

Determine the exact Notes-Release (e.g. 11.0.1 FP1 or 9.0.1 FP10 SHF41... etc.) on a client-machine, based on some information from the operating system (like registry, notes-client file(s), ...)

    That would be unreliable because some people still copy the Notes client executables from one machine to another instead of installing them. However, can you please explain what the use case for this would be? e.g. a scenario where an external script would have to detect the version?
