workspace design based on Connections Orient me page

Hello

may I suggest the following idea about the design for the Notes workspace.

I like the idea to have rounded icons but not the left part where you switch between workspace pages.

Is it possible to have a workspace comparable with "my communities" in Connections. You can see the icons, on top you have a searchbar and maybe at the bottom provide a possibility to scroll between workspaces.
