ACL Documentation

Sometimes an ACL was set in a way, but for others it is not clear why it was set like this. It would be good to have a space/database for admins where all ACL's are listed and where you can add documentation concerning a specific ACL.

The Acces Control List dialog screen could have an extra tab with a textfield added under 'Advanced'. This could be named 'Documentation' for example. The value of the field should be available in catalog.nsf as well.
Like mentioned, it is an admin pain the way it is now.

So everyone can see members of the group in Domino Directory along with the description and everyone can see the same in Using this database?

The original suggestion is a good one, you shouldn't have to create a separate document/resource to log them, which is what I have to do, but it is an administration pain.

The "Using this database" is accessible by everyone, right?

    Standardization should resolve this problem:

1.) use only Groups in the ACL, group documents in the Domino directory have a description and a comments field

2.) Group names should contain the file name and the access level. e.g. "$FILENAME_EDITORS"

3.) document ACL Roles in the "Using this database" note
